Immutable Raises $500 Million to Support Web 3 Gaming and NFT Projects
The Australian NFT scaling platform – Immutable – introduced an inaugural $500 million developer and venture investment fund. The financing will be distributed to companies developing the Web3 ecosystem and non-fungible token (NFT) projects. Prominent investors like Animoca Brands, GameStop, BITKRAFT, Arrington Capital, and Double Peak also collaborated on the financing.
NFT Tech Announces Play 2 Earn Gaming Platform
The platform, set to fully launch in the summer, solves the discoverability issue in gaming: it will enable players to find and play multiple P2E games at once and provide live feedback on games that provide the highest yields. The platform will also feature new games, events within these games, and statistics to help users choose which game to play based on the effort required, popularity, and the volatility of the in-game currency.
Unity and Gala Games Partner to Build the VOXverse
Inside the fantastical new realm, users will take part in a deeply social gaming environment. In essence, taking the form of a Minecraft-inspired expansive environment, one which will in due course absorb many of the games associated with the VOX universe. This will include the likes of MMORPG, Mirandus, the Walking Dead franchise, and much more.
K4 Rally and Xchange Monster Partnering in Web 3.0 Gaming
Blockchain Racing Game and Xchange Monster have entered into a strategic partnership in Web3.0 development and services. Together both companies will be able to offer players the full value chain in GameFi. The vision is to develop a play-to-earn Web3 gaming experience that allows players to have true ownership within the games they play through NFTs and allow seamless integration of all available crypto assets across their game portfolio.

Description is a first-person shooter developed by Addicting Games. It takes a lot of inspiration from “Bungee-style” shooters, like Halo or Destiny. Beta launched in January of 2021 and it already has over 400,000 registered users. The game plays directly in the browser with no downloads or installs and is designed first and foremost to be highly accessible on all desktop devices.

Ethereum is successful in moving from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake, it could reduce the energy consumption of its blockchain by 99.95%. The transition may come later this year.
